By combining the newly developed nano gel electrolyte with high density paste, BSB created the innovative range of Solar batteries. The range offers high recharge efficiency at very low charge current which is very common at renewable energy systems. The acid stratification is highly depressed by adding of gel. This range battery is highly suitable for the energy storage for renewable energy such as PV and wind turbine power systems.

Construction

  • Positive plates – Thick high Sn low Ca grids with high density paste
  • Negative plates – Over designed capacity to overcome sulphation at low SOC
  • Separators – Advanced AGM separators
  • Electrolyte – Dilute chemical grade sulphuric acid with nano gel
  • Battery container and cover – ABS
  • Pillar seal – 100% factory tested, proven two layers epoxy resin seal
  • Relief valve – Complete with integrated flame arrestor

Charging Voltage and Setting

  • Constant voltage charging is recommended
  • Recommended float charge voltage: 2.25VPC @20-25°C
  • Float voltage temperature compensation: -3mV/°C/cell
  • Float voltage range: 2.23 to 2.27 VPC@20- 25°C
  • Cyclic application charge voltage : 2.35V/cell
  • Max charge current allowable : 0.25C10A
